Signs I don't pay too much attention to commercials

I just noticed that the ad for the Toyota Corolla where the dad is sitting with his daughter asking whether he's like all the others, and then the boyfriend pulls up in a blue Corolla and he says he likes him and goes back inside has multiple boyfriends! WTF?

EDIT: Press release explanation and apparently perhaps multiple significant others is a more appropriate term.
