Two things I saw today

1. A somewhat scary Canadian Armed Forces recruiting event today down in and around Cambridge Centre. I don't like seeing tanks in a mall parking lot, and I sure don't think it's cute and amusing to see kids placed in the gun turret of an armoured vehicle and rotated back and forth. Of course, the gun wasn't mounted, which makes it look all safe and sound, but this was the most militaristic display for recruiting I've ever seen.
2. A mouse in the Cambridge Wal-Mart. As I was leaving, I saw it scurrying in the foyer area, so I went back in to tell the greeters, but by the time I got their attention, it was in the store. Then they chased it down with Easter buckets and I left.
