(Sorry for the horrible backdating, but that's when this was written)

I'm typing this somewhere over the Pacific watching Lost in Translation for the second time on Air Canada. I really need to buy/rent this so I don't get the edited version, with text that is too small to read, but its been this ongoing guilt about wanting to support this movie that has made me not take advantage of some sources.

Anyways, seeing Hong Kong was a great way to end the trip. I liked it a lot. Went up on the Peak Tram, browsed some street market, looked at electronics, took the ferry and subway, hit HMV, etc. After dinner we went down to the harbour and there was some light show going on using the buildings on the other side. There was music and dialogue but no English. I think it may have been "The Wonders of LEDs" or "The P.R.C. is great and wonderful".

Took the airport express train back to HKIA. You can check your bags and get your boarding pass at the station, then hop on the train to the airport. I got warned about my bag size for carry-on at the train station, but I fixed it at the airport and no one asked. I'm pretty sure the laptop bag is too thick, but there was only the large cage so I'm not sure how they would have proved it and it fits under the seat so, I don't care.

Anyways, first movie is done, cabin just darkened. I'm going to get out my book and read. Second film is Chinese, 3rd film is Stuck on You which should be dumb fun.

Oh, Lost in Translation question: is Charlotte's husband supposed to be Spike Jonze and therefore she's Sofia Coppola? Also, the blond actress promoting her movie. Kelly, that's her name. Is she Cameron Diaz, because thes a joke about body odor, and I've heard gossip about Cameron Diaz, and it does resemble her. Also, I should really really get a Criterion edition of Rushmore one of these years.

Tomorrow: Mystery party and bridal shower...
